The plant was found in the Al Magdah farms area, Thaghab Al Majda, Ras Laffan, and near the road from Dukhan to Al Jumayliyah. Observations were made on February 22, 28, and March 1, 2014. The plant's flowers and central star-shaped capitula were also observed. It was noted that the plant has several synonyms, including Asteriscus pygmaeus and Odpntospermum pygmaeum, and is locally known as Jahwayan. The plant's growth in silty depressions suggests it may thrive in areas with specific soil conditions. Multiple observations were made in different locations, indicating the plant's presence in various parts of Qatar.
